Skydiving: Successful end of the season for HSV Red Bull Salzburg
This weekend the parachute jump athletes of HSV Red Bull Salzburg were able to show off one of the last advertisers of the season. At the ÖHSV championship and the Salzburg state championship in target jumping on October 9th in Völtendorf / Lower Austria, the Salzburg skydiving club took home all the medals thanks to great performances. In some conditions it stayed exciting until the end. Because constantly changing winds and strong thermals create sporting challenges.
In the men’s category, Fabian Resch won confidently in front of his teammates Paul Steiner and Gernot Alic from HFSC Freistadt. In the Salzburg state championship, Anton Gruber took third place behind his teammates Resch and Steiner.
For the women, the “internal” duel remained exciting until the end. Julia Schosser prevailed in the end with a respectful distance from the young Sophie Grill, as well as Christina Graml and Zoe Janko.
The ranking of the juniors in the battle for medals in the Salzburg state championship also turned out to be exciting. Here Sophie Grill won the gold medal for Jonathan Bara and Christian Irausek with a respectable margin.
The team standings in particular also turned out to be extremely exciting. In the jump-off for the gold medal, HSV Red Bull Salzburg teams BLUE and RED finally dueled. The team around Julia Schosser, Ivo Delev, Gabriel Huber and Anton Gruber fought in the final against the team consisting of Paul Steiner, Fabian Resch, Michael Hribnik and Kevin Wagner. The latter narrowly prevailed in the end and booked the top podium for themselves.
The skydivers will continue with the 2nd Roland Rettenbacher Memorial Cup in Mondsee on October 23rd.
