One hundred students from 35 countries en route to Pisa
New record of enrollments for the Foundation Course: students double and the number of countries of origin is also growing
PISA – The Basic course the University of Pisa is full of enrollments, double compared to last year.
In fact, there are 100 young people from 35 countries who are about to undertake the training course, the first in Italy, aimed at students with foreign qualifications who must accept in compliance with the minimum requirements required by our legislation for university enrollment.
Subscribers from 35 countries (last year there were 20): Indonesia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan Brazil, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Brazil, Peru, Russia, Lebanon, Kuwait, Ecuador, Thailand, Rwanda, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kirgizizi Sri Lanka, Bangladesh , Botswana, Ukraine, Armenia, Australia, Bulgaria, Colombia, India, Iraq, Jordan, Nigeria, Serbia, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkey, United States and Zimbabwue.
For this edition, three ways of using the course have been made available: online, blended and face-to-face. Most of the students, despite the uncertainty expected at Covid-19, decided to follow the whole course in Pisa, which will be offered respecting all the safety and distance parameters provided thanks to the classrooms made available by the University.
The new edition of the Foundation Course was inaugurated remotely on 23 September with a Virtual welcome day which involved all the participants and university representatives who follow the project: Silvia Bruti, director of the Interdepartmental Language Center, Arturo Marzano coordinator of the basic course humanities, Marco Polini coordinator of the basic course Science, Paola Cappellini Head of the International Cooperation Unit, Adio Terranova And Arianna Biancani, organizational representatives of the Foundation Course.
