the police were called in the first hours of the afternoon in the Salzburg district of Maxglan because a woman there had been beaten by her husband in a dispute on Friday evening. Wife threatened in Salzburg-Itzling
In the evening hours, several police patrols were called to Salzburg-Itzling because a caller had indicated that her husband wanted to kill her. When the police arrived, the Austrian (51) stated that a dispute with her husband – a 49-year-old Bosnian – had escalated completely. So the man first strangled his wife and then threatened to kill her if she went to the police.

The 49-year-old told the police that “there was only a verbal argument between his wife and him and that he never physically attacked his wife or threatened him dangerously.” The reason for the verbal argument and physical confrontation was the subsequent alcohol consumption of the Bosnian.
According to the police, “the act did not cause any visible injuries in the neck area.” But the woman stated that her throat was very painful.
The husband was not allowed to enter or approach. He is also reported to have been released for attempted bodily harm and dangerous threats – after consulting the public prosecutor’s office.
