Maltese Innovation Makes Restaurant Gas Delivery More Efficient
The software of a Maltese company system allows a gas company to monitor the gas levels in the mass gas tanks of all its customers, leading to a more efficient gas distribution.
With a sensor that can be installed on a bulk gas tank, EasyGas gas delivery now easily keeps track of how full the tanks are. This means that EasyGas drivers can now plan their route before leaving, and be able to overtake customers who still have enough gas left.
As Anthony Sciberras, HandsOn Systems Customer Support Executive Executive, explained, “EasyGas drivers can plan their route before leaving the depot and only call at restaurants whose gas levels have dropped below a certain level. That way, they can plan their route better and save time and money as they also consume less fuel during deliveries. “
This makes their work more efficient and less harmful to the environment, saving both time and fuel.
The sensor on each tank makes use of a magnet, which wirelessly transmits information directly via a network to a cloud-based platform. EasyGas staff can access this platform and view the data, both in real time and historically.
And payments are no longer handled manually. System factors detect how much gas was delivered, and bill the customer at the same time.
The system also reduces the risk of improper filling. “Our sensor is reading how many liters the tank has refilled, so it’s checking exactly how many liters it’s billing.”
The new feature also ensures that customers never run out of gas again. When the gas drops below a certain level, an alarm is activated, informing the restaurant owner via SMS that the gas has reached that preset level.
In this way, the gas for the restaurant never reaches a low critical level, avoiding the serious risk of running out of gas.
Do you think this system should be available to everyone?
