AVIGNON: October at the VOLAND museum, Marcel Dumont exhibition, conferences, visits …
After the storm, swarms of samaras helicopters swirled around the maple tree to the rhythm of the mistral.
In October, the persimmons and arbutus illuminate the garden, the cosmos and twirling water-soaked resist the gusts of wind, from the South, from the North, the carpet of samaras creaks under our feet.
It is in the garden that the Prix Léon 2021 was awarded last night to the publishing house A asard Bautezar !, directed by Clément Serguier.
It is also in the garden that will take place this afternoon, Saturday October 9 at 2:30 p.m., the bilingual French-Provençal reading of the poem “History of the dead king who descended the river / Istòri dóu réi mort que anavo à la desciso” by Max-Philippe Delavouët.
And inside, the Marcel Dumont exhibition will take us to the Alpilles until December 31.

MARCEL DUMONT ALPILLES EXHIBITION
October 9 – December 31, 2021
The Marcel Dumont exhibition (1921-1998) takes place in Avignon at the Vouland museum and in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence at the Alpilles museum.
From the Alpilles where he lived for nearly thirty years, Marcel Dumont “tracked down the secret structure of the elements, stones and trees, veins and foliage, or so, patiently interiorized landscapes, spaces in their purity of light. This means that, does not stop at the external aspect of things, he sought above all to capture the vital breaths which animate them, the internal thrusts in which they are inhabited. “(François Cheng, 2001)
