Waiting for Euroflora, tomorrow international horticulture will be in Genoa
Genoa. There are over one hundred accredited participants in attendance at the “Day dedicated to the international promotion of horticulture”, scheduled for Friday 8 October in Nervi. The day, organized by Porto Antico di Genova Spa as part of the preparatory activities for Euroflora 2022, will consist of a morning of work at the Teatro degli Emiliani and an afternoon visit to the exhibition areas of the Parks and Museums of Nervi.
An important event, dedicated to the reality that are an active part of this great universe linked to the world of flowers and plants – companies, experts, institutional representatives – created in collaboration with Iren – light, gas and services, the sole sponsor of the event. On the table the evolution of floralies in the third millennium, the value of the horticultural sector in the context of national agriculture, the influence of Covid on lifestyles and the consequent rediscovery of domestic green spaces, the actions of the ICE Agency put in place a Euroflora for export. And then green in the city, technological innovation and green energy.
The morning program will see the presence of Tim Briercliffe, general secretary of AIPH – International Association of Horticultural Producers, the association that certifies international floralies, by Alberto Manzo, floriculture expert within MIPAAF – Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry; by Leonardo Capitanio, president of ANVE – National Association of Nursery Experts Exporters, by Lisa Trinci, vice president of the Italian Flower Nursery Association and by Davide Michelini, vice president of AICG, – Italian Association of Gardening Centers. Niek Roozen, designer from Floriade, will illustrate the project that marks the return of the Netherlands to Euroflora and the project of the Italian participation in Floriade.
Giovanni Minuto, general manager and of CeRSAA – Center for Experimentation and Agricultural Assistance, national excellence based in Albenga and Valeria La Terra, pivot in numerous projects of energy efficiency of Iren Smart Solutions.
The greetings of the institutions are entrusted to the mayor of Genoa Marco Bucci, the councilor for tourism and work of the Liguria Region Giovanni Berrino, to the president of the Chamber of Commerce Luigi Attanasio and to the president of the Floricultural District of Liguria Luca De Michelis. The president of ICE Agenzia Carlo Ferro intervened remotely. The president of Porto Antico di Genova Spa Mauro Ferrando will do the honors while the director of Euroflora Rino Surace will introduce the works and will act as moderator, to illustrate the architectural project of Euroflora 2022 will be Matteo and Antonio Lavarello.
