Offers drugs to plainclothes agents in Venice: reported
VENICE – As part of the prevention and repression services of predatory crimes and drug dealing in the historic center of Venice, in particular for the Venetian “movida”, the Quaestor of Venice has ordered, in the decoration of the night, an extraordinary control of the territory, operated by the staff of the San Marco Commissariat with the help of the Local Police of Venice, in the area between Campo Santa Margherita and Campo San Rocco. During the service, carried out by personnel in uniform and in civilian clothes, a person was blocked and taken to the Police Headquarters 28-year-old Liberian who approached a plainclothes police officer to offer him some drug.
The same was immediately stopped and following signaling reported for drug dealing, with consequent seizure of what is in his possession. On the other hand, for a 32-year-old citizen of Nigerian origin who accompanied the Liberian denounced, following careful checks carried out by the men of the San Marco Commissariat, it emerged that he had violated the provisions of a previous sheet of compulsory road by the city of Venice issued by the Quaestor since 2019 and still in force.
During the service, other non-EU subjects were also identified and accompanied to the Police Headquarters, who were found to be irregular on the national territory and for which street papers will be issued. With the help of the Local Police, a device to prevent gatherings was finally implemented, given the considerable influx of young people in the field of the most famous nightlife in Venice.
