The free short-term parking zone in Salzburg is to be expanded to include the Itzling district. The city of Salzburg announced this in a broadcast.
At the beginning of December, two new toll-free short-term parking zones (Itzling East and Itzling West) will be introduced in Itzling. As in the other areas, parking is limited to three hours during the week from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The regulation does not apply on Saturdays.
Short-term parking zone in Salzburg expanded
The city states that the aim of the measure is to eliminate the parking of penlers from the residential areas and thus to improve the quality of life of the residents. It is also intended to make switching to public transport more attractive for commuters.
Fiefdom expansion planned for next year
Residents in the named areas who do not have their own parking space can apply for an exemption from the city administration. The associated monitoring is to be carried out by two additional security organs in the future. Next year, the free short-term parking zone is to be expanded to include the Lehen district. This is planned for May to June.
