Vaccines: Naples, third dose to citizens over 80 starting tomorrow – Campania

Asl launches a campaign for those who have had a second dose for 6 months

(ANSA) – NAPLES, 29 SEPTEMBER – The administration of the third “booster” dose of anti-covid vaccine for all citizens over 80 years will start tomorrow in Naples. The ASL Napoli 1 announces it, communicating that it can be received in the Vaccinal Centers of Mostra d’Oltremare and Fagianiera, in that of the island of Capri, in the basic health districts, by General Practitioners and in pharmacies.

The third dose will be administered with Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, in line with the Circular of the Ministry of Health of 27 September 2021 and with the guidelines of the regional government.

From tomorrow, therefore, even citizens over 80 years old will be able to present without reservation to receive the administration of the third dose provided that at least 6 months have passed since the completion of the primary vaccination cycle.

The administration can take place – without reservation – in these hubs: Vaccinal Center Mostra d’Oltremare and in Fagianeria in Capodimonte from Monday to Sunday from 9 to 18, in the Vaccinal Center of Capri on Friday from 9 to 16 and in the vaccination centers of the districts basic citizens. The same Vaccination Centers also administer the third additional doses without reservation for citizens who have the conditions set out in the Health Circular of 14 September 2021. Meanwhile, the administration of the first and second dose also continues, again without reservation and the additional days of Open Day “Viva la scuola” is dedicated to school staff and students.

The Order of Physicians-Surgeons-Dentists of Naples and the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, in collaboration with each other, and thanks to the availability offered by numerous retired doctors (volunteers), have organized a toll-free number available to citizens, which provides response to possible questions of a strictly medical-scientific nature.
