CABRIERES D’AVIGNON: Tenergie et Planète OUI, a partnership for energy transition
Tenergie – independent producer of renewable energies – and Planète OUI – manager and supplier of 100% renewable energy – sign a partnership agreement with the Municipality of Cabrières d’Avignon to accelerate the energy transition of the municipality.
The Tenergie / Planète OUI alliance is implementing a short-circuit energy approach in the town of Cabrières d’Avignon that integrates three pillars: developing renewable production on the public land made available as well as on land private sector, valorize the energy produced as part of a local and financial supply offer a program to improve the energy performance of public buildings thanks to the income generated by photovoltaic installations and help the financing of energy renovation for them as well. private consumers.
Today, the Town Hall of Cabrières d’Avignon, accompanied by the Luberon Park, Tenergie and Planète OUI sign the agreement which seals the partnership and launch the project.
Support and accelerate the energy transition thanks to solar energy
Through this approach, the three partners retained the transition of the territory by the development of a local, sustainable and competitive renewable energy production. The production pillar will be reflected in 2023 by the solarization of public buildings (roofs of the village school and the municipality’s gymnasium and shades of the municipal stadium), the development of a photovoltaic plant on the ground in 2025 on the site of the community’s former career, as well as, from the end of 2021, support for individuals in their individual self-consumption project.
In total, more than 4 hectares will be equipped with photovoltaic panels for an estimated total power of nearly 5 MWp without counting self-consumption offered to owners of private and public projects. Electricity production generated in the territory will be at least 7.6 GWh / year, which corresponds to the average annual consumption of around 1,637 households.
Local management of renewable electricity supply for the territory
The short circuit of energy in the municipality of Cabrières d’Avignon allows local management of 100% renewable energy through a preferential local supply offer which will be supplied primarily by the production of the territory, the necessary supplements for cover all the needs coming from other renewable energy installations.
Aid for energy renovation
The third pillar of the short circuit of energy makes it possible to optimize the energy efficiency of the car the cheapest electricity is the one that we do not consume …
In this context, two components are implemented by the Tenergie / Planète OUI alliance:
· A component for the benefit of public buildings: the revenues generated by photovoltaic and reversible installations in the municipality make it possible to finance the renovation of an energy renovation program on the most energy-consuming buildings, namely 11 buildings. The support offered includes carrying out a diagnosis of energy saving actions followed by the development of an energy renovation program.
· A component for the benefit of the inhabitants of the territory: they will be supported in their energy saving projects in partnership with Enalia and its subsidiary Pass Renov to facilitate their renovation work.
Steps to follow
The public information meeting will be held on Tuesday 9 November at 7 p.m. in the Salle des Fêtes de la Commune.
“ We are delighted to launch this partnership driven by a citizen approach. This is why we are very proud to engage with the Town Hall of Cabrières d’Avignon with Tenergie to promote the role of municipalities in the energy transition and thus promote a vision of energy transition that is ecological and inclusive, it is that is to say exemplary in environmental terms, ensuring perfect ownership by the territory and sharing the benefits generated ” declares Sophia Popoff, Public Affairs and Communities Manager of Planète OUI.
