Wolfram Peters will become Head of Risk in Asset Management at Credit Suisse. Before that he was Head of Risk at Allianz Global Investors.
The crisis-ridden Credit Suisse is further expanding its risk management. According to media reports on Friday, the former Allianz manager comes across Wolfram Peters as of September 1st as head of risk in the asset management division of the major Swiss bank. In this newly created role, he primarily reports to the Group’s risk manager, Joachim Oechslin, and secondly on Ulrich Körner, the Head of Asset Management at Credit Suisse.
Oechslin, who is responsible for the risk management of the CS group ad interim until next February, took over the function of Lara Warner, died last April due to the scandals surrounding the US hedge fund Archegos and the Greensill supply chain fund. Peters worked for Allianz Global Investors for 16 years. Until last April, he was head of risk at the German insurance company’s investment unit – a role he held for nine years. The physicist previously worked for the management consultancy McKinsey.
