“Miss Belarus” was justified for filming with an extremist symbol of protests: Belarus: Former USSR: Lenta.ru
After the contest “Miss Belarus-2021”, which took place on September 10, a photo session of the winner Darya Goncharevich with a white-red-white flag (BCHB-flag, a symbol of mass protests after the presidential elections in Belarus in August 2020) appeared on the network. This is reported by the Tut.by portal in Facebook…
According to the source, in the photographs Goncharevich is wrapped in white and red fabrics (the combination of these colors is regarded as an oppositional message). At the same time, the girl declares that at the time of filming she was young and did not delve into the essence. She noted that she trusted the designer who invited her, which should not have been done.
“This was not a manifestation of my civil position. Now, of course, I regret it. I should have inquired about the subject of the photo session in advance and be more careful, ”Goncharevich justified herself.
Earlier, Belarusians were repeatedly arrested using and demonstrating extremist symbols, in particular the BCHB-flag or used items in the color of the canvas.
In late June, 59-year-old pensioner Natalya Khomich was arrested in Belarus for an unauthorized picket over the decorations on the window. In the early morning of June 23, police officers came to the woman because of the white-red-white hearts hung on the window. Khomich was sentenced to 15 days for committing an administrative violation.
On July 26, the republic’s prosecutor general, Andrei Shved, announced that Belarus had begun preparing documents to recognize the white-red-white flag as extremist.
