Telemach opens a Croatian network of 10 gigs
Telemach Croatia has started giving customers access to its 10 gig network.
Telemach users can choose between three simple optical Internet packages with speeds of 300 Mbps, 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps, with the former being up to ten times faster than the average internet speed in the country of 30-40 Mbps.
The network is currently available for about 7,000 homes in the New Zagreb area, and by the end of the year, 70,000 households will be able to access it.
Telemach aims to cover a third of Croatia, or more than 500,000 homes, with its 10 gig network by the end of the year.
Commenting on the network, Telemach Croatia CEO Viktor Pavlinić said: “With the introduction of the Internet and fixed telephony, Telemach Croatia is becoming an operator with three telecommunications services and is positioning itself as the most advanced Internet service and network. This is exactly what we mean when we say we are committed to providing the most advanced technology to our customers for the most innovative products and services and the best user experience. Telemach Croatia’s investment in building a super-fast optical network is helping to accelerate Croatia’s digital transformation and make better use of the economic and social benefits it brings. “
The parent company Telemacha Hrvatska United Group is supporting it in building the network with an investment of EUR 100 million.
