Portugal “firmly” condemns terrorist attack in Jerusalem

On Friday night, a Palestinian man shot and killed seven people near a synagogue in East Jerusalem during Shabbat prayers before he was shot dead.
This morning, an armed man walked over two people in East Jerusalem, according to Israeli medical services.
In this morning’s attack, which took place near the historic Cidade Velha, a father and son, aged 47 and 23, were injured.
Authorities announced that they shot the attacker and that he was treated at a hospital, according to the AP agency.
Today’s shooting took place one day before the US Secretary of State, António Blinken, arrived in the region.
