Most expensive tickets ever: how much will Madonna earn from concerts in Portugal?
The pop artist will give two shows at the Altice Arena, in Lisbon, on the 6th and 7th of November.
Tickets cost between €40 and €300.
Madonna will return to Portugal for two concerts celebrating her 40-year career. The international tour is called The Celebration Tour and the first performance at the Altice Arena, in Lisbon, on November 6, is already sold out.
Tickets went on sale last Friday, January 20th, and cost between €40 and €300 — the highest value ever recorded in Portugal. The price was determined by the artist herself, confessed to “Blitz”, Nuno Braamcamp, director of the promoter that organizes the show..
Tickets for this second concert, scheduled for November 7th, went on sale on Friday, January 27th. If this second show also sells out, the queen of pop could earn more than five million euros with the two performances in Portugal, according to the accounts of “Expresso” — around 2.6 million euros for each concert. This will have a thousand seats at Counter Zero (between €175 and €300), 4100 seats at Counter One (between €75 and €120), 3500 seats at Counter Two (between €40 and €75) and 8000 seats at the Plateia in Foot (175€).
When Madonna performed at Parque da Bela Vista, in Lisbon, in 2008, the box office revenue was close to four million euros. At that concert, 75,000 spectators were waiting and tickets cost €60.
The last tour of the artist, “Madame X”, passed on through Portugal in early 2020 to present his last work with the same name. This time around, the pop music star will make a compilation of her greatest hits from the last 40 years.
“I’m excited to explore as many songs as possible and give my fans the spectacle they’ve been waiting for for so long,” says Madonna, quoted in the press release from promoter Ritmos & Blues.
