Ulema call on Sweden, Dutch governments for swift action against detractors of the Holy Quran
Ulema Mashaykh and religious scholars on Friday observed the “Sacredness of the Quran and Namoos-e-Risalat Day” and urged the governments of Sweden and the Netherlands to take immediate action against those who violated the sanctity and prestige of the Holy Quran.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Jan, 2023 ) :Ulema Mashaykh and religious scholars on Friday observed the “Holiness of the Quran and Namoos-e-Risalat Day” and urged the governments to Sweden and Netherlands to take immediate action against those who violated the sanctity and prestige of the Holy Quran.
Addressing the General Assembly on Friday prayer across the country they emphasized the need to legislate against the perspective of international law from the forum for United Nations against Islamophobia, except heavenly religions and divine books.
Ulema said the desecrations had hurt the religious sentiments of 1.5 billion Muslims on the globe. Islam was a religion of peace and security and the teachings of the Holy Quran were to promote peace, affection, tolerance and harmony, they added.
They made it clear that sacrilegious remarks about the sanctity of any religion could not be termed freedom of speech.

The Ulema said that Allah Almighty had taken the responsibility of protecting the Holy Qur’an and by such blasphemous acts the message of the Holy Qur’an could not be curtailed.
They said they invited All those who desecrated the Holy Qur’an to study the Holy Book and also study ‘Seerat-e-Mustafa’ of Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him, then they would know that the Holy Qur’an was a divine commandment and its message was about peace, safety and moderation.
