the Collection of signatures on the DES starts. No to Foreign Monopoly
2023 has begun and Libera is still engaged in the country and in the Great and General Council to counter the action of a government divided on everything but united only by the armchair. Expensive energy, galloping resistance, basic medicine in shambles, wicked land management, use of public debt to manage current expenditure, total lack of development projects. There are countless shortcomings of this executive that are increasingly evident in the eyes of all citizens. The only project in which the majority seems interested is the law on the Special Economic District (DES) examined in first reading in the January CGG. We are particularly concerned about this initiative because it would leave a single foreign private entrepreneur (to be clear, the one who convinced the government and the majority to enact the law tailored to his business), in a regime of absolute monopoly, the right to dispose of and public and private buildings enjoying a favorable tax rate making him, in fact, the “Prince” of San Marino. A real blank delegation that strips the State of its own prerogatives that reduce our Sovereignty. Precisely for this reason, Libera has launched an online signature collection to save the economic sovereignty of our country, which is strongly questioned by the DES project.
