City of Salzburg – City Senate: Unanimously for higher photovoltaic funding
In the future 750 instead of 400 euros – more subsidy for employees in the care sector
The business development and land policy department in the municipal administration submitted a detailed activity report to the city senate on Monday, January 23, 2023, as requested. Among other things, it was unanimously agreed that private individuals and companies would in future receive a photovoltaic subsidy of 750 euros instead of 400 euros.
In a typical single-family house, the total costs for such a system are around 10,000 euros. If you add 1,250 euros in federal funding and 750 euros in state funding, the funding rate is around 27.5%.
The strongly declining innovation funding will be replaced by a new market entry funding. General economic development, special development programs and start-up rental promotion remain in place. Furthermore, the apprenticeship promotion and the bonuses for the completion of an apprenticeship, apprenticeship with Matura as well as master craftsman and proficiency tests. For the promotion of the climate ticket, the city – after a decision in the municipal council – will again provide 66 euros per person with their main residence in the city of Salzburg.
Co-payment for care and support staff is valued
For nursing staff in the city’s senior citizens’ facilities and in social care professions, the subsidy from federal funds in the amount of 131.67 euros per month is valued at 7.32%. “We take an extra 47,500 euros from our own funds into our hands,” says Mayor Harald Preuner (ÖVP). An expansion of the group of recipients provided for by federal law, as suggested by the staff representation, is not legally possible.
According to the Personnel Office, 383 nursing and social care employees in the city will receive the grant. 241 more, for example from areas such as kitchen, technology or administration, are not included.
