Cheval Passion returns to Avignon after two editions marked by the Covid
The equestrian world has an appointment in Avignon! It’s the beginning this Wednesday of the 37th edition of the Horse Passion show at the exhibition center. For five days, 250 exhibitors will receive horse enthusiasts
, horse riding and equestrian shows. This edition will also, of course, be marked by the traditional gala shows of the Golden Manes.
And this year marks the return of the show in its normal format after two years of Covid-19. The living room should be canceled in 2021
then fitted out in 2022 to take health restrictions into account. “We are very happy because last year we had to do a hybrid edition, reduced in the number of people at the shows and without cabaretrecalls Dominique Méjean, the person in charge of the organization of Cheval Passion. There, we leave on a real Horse Passion as we like it and as the visitors like it. That means 4,000 places for the Golden Manes, an equestrian cabaret, restaurants, bars, a boosted atmosphere, competitions, 600 boxes, horses everywhere, entertainment…”
An economic driver for Avignon and its surroundings
Organizers hope to welcome up to 90,000 visitors over five days. What makes Cheval Passion the second event of the year in Vaucluse in terms of attendance after the Avignon festival. “Economically, the city and the entire living area benefitexplains the president of Avignon Tourisme, Marc Simelière. Imagine that there are 1,000 horses, the grooms, the federations, the visitors… We have to house all these people, so the economic publications are very important”.

. Entrance to the show is fixed between 13.50 and 16.50 euros. Tickets for the Golden Manes gala are sold between 28.50 and 50.50 euros. Note among the novelties of this 2023 edition, parking will be completely free.
