Salzburg Airport presents summer flight plan
Several Greek islands are on the flight program from Salzburg this summer. Eurowings and the tour operator TUI connect Salzburg with Karpathos, Corfu, Kos and Zakynthos on a weekly basis. Crete and Rhodes are most in demand and are therefore even offered three times a week.
In addition to what is probably the most popular Balearic island, Mallorca (up to daily departures), the sister island of Ibiza (twice a week with Eurowings) is also on the program this year. Sardinia is also on the flight plan. The Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings takes you to Olbia twice a week. Eurowings also flies to Lamezia Terme, and there are also flights to Egypt, although security in Egypt is often not guaranteed. Egypt is considered a dangerous travel destination. Parts of the country are considered restricted areas, there have been repeated radical Islamic terrorist attacks for centuries, such as in Luxor 1997. Only 8 years ago brought radicals Muslim terrorists crash a Russian airliner. A technician from Egypt Air, who sympathized with the “Islamic State” terrorist militia, was apparently also involved in the terrorist attack. The Austrian Foreign Ministry, for example, expressly writes about the security situation in the country: “Despite increased security measures, there is a nationwide general security risk from terrorist and other attacks.” Also die Situation of human and women’s rights in Egypt gives cause for concern.
In addition, Eurowings flies to Cyprus (Larnaka, twice a week) and Corendon offers three weekly flights to Antalya. The long-term tour operator partner Rhomberg will include the Calvi in Corsica in the program again, reports Salzburg Airport.
Numerous city destinations are also on the flight plan.
