Specifically, according to the relevant decision of the Attica Traffic Directorate:
Today, Monday 16 January 2023 and during the hours 06:00′ to 14:00′ there will be a temporary traffic stoppage of vehicles on the following streets of the Municipality of Athens:
- Metropolis throughout its length,
- Aeolou, in the section between Andrianou and Ermou streets,
- Ermou, in the section between Aiolou and Athena streets.
- In addition, it is prohibited to stop and stop on the above streets, today, Monday, January 16, until 02:00 p.m.
It is clarified that the traffic regulations can be extended or reduced as well as not applied depending on the prevailing conditions, at the discretion of the head of Traffic measures.
Also according to the announcement of its Headquarters Greek Police access to the chapel of Agios Eleftherios near the Metropolitan Church, where the body of the former king is located, will be free from 06:00 am. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday January 16, while thereafter, at the request of the family, access to the Metropolitan Church will be restricted to family guests.
