Red Bull Salzburg extend contract with Amar Dedic
Red Bull Salzburg can continue planning with Amar Dedic. The Bosnian is extending his contract until June 30, 2027. The Mozartstadt residents announced this on Wednesday.
In the autumn season, the right-back became a regular at the Bulls, playing 20 games for Salzburg.
Dedic came to Salzburg in 2015, where he went through all years of the academy. After playing 50 times for FC Liefering, he went on loan to Wolfsberger AC. The Bosnian made his first steps in the Austrian Bundesliga with the Carinthians.
After a year on loan, the 20-year-old returned to Salzburg. The Bosnian national player is now a fixture in coach Matthias Jaissle’s team.
“A lot will come from him”
“Amar developed his football training in our academy and developed tremendously there. He was able to show that last season when he was loaned out to Wolfsberg. He has played an outstanding autumn season with us and played the full season in all six Champions League games on the field and has made the leap to a consistently high level,” is the first statement from sporting director Christoph Freund.
“Not only does he have exceptionally good technical skills, he is also in top physical condition. I am very pleased that we could extend the contract with him in the long term, as I am convinced that a lot will come in the next few years with his qualifications and his attitude,” says Freund about Dedic.
The player also spoke up after the contract extension: “I’m very happy about the trust the club has placed in me and I’m proud that my contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg has been extended. The decisive factor was certainly the last six months, which I only did for Not only the appearances in the Champions League were an absolute highlight for me, I’m also happy that I acted very consistently in the championship and remained injury-free. All of this is an incentive for me to keep working hard so that the successful autumn can be followed by an equally successful spring,” says Dedic.
