Portugal recalls Iranian ambassador to condemn executions
The Portuguese Government recalled the Iranian ambassador to Lisbon, Damanpak Jami Fortress, to convey firm testimony and repudiation of the execution of two more Iranian nationals.
Portugal joins the United States and more than a dozen European countries, which also called Iranian ambassadors to condemn the repression imposed by the Iranian authorities.
Yet, the European Union formulated three compatibility packages against Iran for executions and repression of demonstrators.
Iran already adds 18 death sentences and four executions since the protests began. In addition, strong police repression to try to stop the demonstrations has now resulted in more than 500 deaths.

The Islamic Republic of Iran last Saturday executed two more men accused of having killed an agent of the country’s paramilitary forces, during the protests. since death of young healer Masha Aminiin September, that Iran has been experiencing days of protest in the streets.
These last two hangings are added to two others in December, in three months of demonstrations.
