Traudich Magazin: The wedding stationery – invite with style
The invitation, place and thank you cards as well as the welcome booklet give the wedding a visual framework.
The design of the wedding stationery gives the guests a little foretaste of what the wedding celebration WILL look like. Many couples choose to also give place cards, menu cards and church booklets a unified look.
Save the date card
Planning help for the guests
So that everyone really has friends and more time on the wedding day, it is advisable to send save-the-date cards about three months before the actual invitation. So do it
Bridal couples officially announce the happy event and secure a place in the guests’ diaries. The save-the-date card is only intended to spread anticipation for the big day and make planning easier for wedding guests, which is why only the date of the celebration is usually noted on it, but no details yet.
Invitation Card – Official start of the wedding
The invitation card is the figurehead of every wedding – reason enough to take special care when choosing it. In order to guarantee a smooth process, the invitation should be sent out about six months before the big day. The 4-W questions – what-when-where-who? – be clarified.
Ideally, the card should contain all the information relevant to the guests. In addition to the place and time, the dress code, the question of someone to accompany you and any accommodation options should also be clarified. Guests with children should be informed whether the little ones
can be there on the big day and whether a children’s program is planned. It is customary and recommended to ask the invited wedding guests for feedback.
Welcome Booklet – script for the celebrations
The exact course of the festivities is still unknown at the time the invitation cards are sent out, the exact program is still being worked out. It is therefore advisable that all guests receive a welcome booklet at the beginning of the celebrations, including when they arrive at the registry office or in front of the church, in which the exact procedure IS recorded. The welcome booklet also contains the further procedure, you will find out when the champagne reception begins and when and where you can hand over the gifts. But that doesn’t mean that the whole celebration has to be designed according to a strong timeline. The later the evening, the more likely it is that you will deviate from the plan. However, the welcome booklet helps ensure that the celebration starts on time and there are fewer delays in the beginning.
The thank you card
After the celebration, it is time to admire the loved ones for the unforgettable day, the many congratulations and of course the gifts. The ideal time to send the thank you cards is right after the honeymoon. A lovingly designed thank you card reminds the wedding guests of the beautiful day and shows them the appreciation of the bridal couple.
