Is Salzburg striker Roko Simic going on loan to the Swiss champions?
Roko Simic is undoubtedly one of the future star strikers at Red Bull Salzburg.
The 19-year-old Croatian was parked at FC Liefering for a year after his commitment in the summer of 2021 before he was promoted to the squad of the series champions last summer. But the competition is great with Noah Okafor, Junior Adamu, Benjamin Sesko, the currently injured Fernando and Sekou Koita.
That’s why the U21 team player only got four starting XIs this season, 13 in total. The yield is meager: one goal and one assist.
Simic needs more playing time for a place at the U21 European Championship
In order to gain more playing time for the jewel, Simic should probably be awarded. Like the Croatian portal “Germanijak.hrreported that he is about to move to FC Zurich. Simic should therefore play the second half of the season with the Swiss champions, who are currently only bottom of the table in the Super League.
At Letzigrund – where ex-ÖFB team boss Franco Foda was eliminated after a weak start to the season in the fall – a feverish search is being made for a new striker, so far only 13 goals have been scored.
With Simic, this value should be screwed up, which would also help the 19-year-old in his bid for a regular place in the U21 national team. The U21 European Championships in Romania and Georgia are coming up in the summer – and with Marin Ljubicic, a direct competitor at LASK is playing big.
