Cologne In Cologne, a drunk woman is said to have pushed her 27-year-old companion into the Rhine on Monday. The fire brigade rescued the hypothermic man from the stream. The police set up a homicide squad.
In Cologne, a 30-year-old woman is said to have pushed her 27-year-old companion into the Rhine on Monday evening around 6 p.m. According to the police, the man and the woman, who are said to have been drunk, are said to have walked along the inner-city Leystapel shipyard when the woman is said to have pushed the 27-year-old into the Rhine.
The man clung to an anchor chain until emergency services from the fire brigade rescued the man from the Rhine stream. The 27-year-old had to be taken to a hospital with life-threatening hypothermia.
In addition, the woman is said to have injured a witness who was trying to pull the man out of the Rhine. The police are asking the unknown helper to contact the police by phone on 0221/2290 or by email to [email protected]. The Cologne police have also set up a murder commission and the investigation is ongoing.
