General Staff: There are about 11,000 Russian military at the training grounds of Belarus
Brigadier General Oleksiy Gromov, Deputy Head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“In the continental part of Ukraine with the Republic of Belarus, glucose levels remain stable. As a result, the increase in the level of training is increasing, conducting exercises at Belarusian training grounds, where up to 11,000 units of personnel and more than 400 units of products and industrial equipment of the occupying country are currently consumed. Today, the grouping of Russian troops, which consists of Belarus, the Bryansk and Kursk air forces of the Russian Federation, is half the size of the grouping that was used to attack Kyiv in the coming year – 22,000 against 45,500 invaders,” Gromov said.
He also noted that in the event of the collection of all combat Belarusian military units from the ground forces and special operations, the total grouping of the aggressor’s troops would number about 30,000 thousand people.
According to Gromov, to date, Russia has removed from Belarusian territory all stocks of income for artillery systems and multiple launch rocket systems that were discovered by the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the eve of the attack on Ukraine.
Gromov added that Minsk has limited opportunities for catering for the offensive grouping of detachments on its territory.
“The prospects for bringing increased tension in Belarus to the war in connection with the Russian Federation are moving forward on the Donetsk proposal, as well as on the activity of the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” Gromov stressed.
At the same time, control over the military airfields of Belarus is expanding, work continues on additional equipment for the airfields of Machulishchi, Baranovichi and Luninets. In particular, Machulishchi will happen to be a key hub for securing the sun.
According to Ukrinform, on December 27, the press secretary of the State Border Service, Andrei Demchenko, said that the border guards have not yet recorded the creation of an offensive group in Belarus, which would be ready at the moment to carry out an invasion from the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
