World Day of Peace, the Diocese of San Marino and Montefeltro proposes two celebrations on New Year’s Eve. On January 1st at 12 at the Basilica del Santo in San Marino and at 17 at the Cathedral of Pennabilli. During the celebrations, Bishop Andrea will hand over to the authorities of San Marino and Montefeltro the Message from the Pope for the Day of Peace. All are invited to attend.
“Pope Francis in his Message for the 56th World Day of Peace” reads the note from the Diocese “speaks to a humanity that has found itself fragile, appealing to rulers, the heads of international organizations and religious leaders asking for a commitment joint to heal the world. In fact, while a vaccine has been found for Covid-19, effective solutions have not yet been found for war.
However, the epidemic has left us aware that we all need each other, that no one can save themselves. For Pope Francis “our greatest treasure, albeit even more fragile, is human fraternity, founded on the common divine sonship, and which no one can save themselves. It is therefore urgent to seek and promote together the universal values that trace the path of this human brotherhood”.
