League leaders HC Innsbruck will “put a threesome under the Christmas tree” at Asiago

Table leaders HC TIWAG Innsbruck tomorrow meets Asiago away. The Sharks want themselves with a win a day before Christmas present.
The Haie travel as leaders to twelfth in the standings. One would like to think one thing clear, but HC TIWAG Innsbruck head coach Mitch O’Keefe makes it clear before the match: “I expect a fight over the entire 60 minutes. Asiago will be ready for that, they are in the middle of the race for a playoff spot. It won’t be easy.” Like the Haie, the Italians also have strengths in offense. “They have a lot of firepower, they scored five goals for us in the first party in Asiago, so we have to be careful,” says O’Keefe.
All previous season duels between the Tyroleans and Asiago went to the Haie (5:1 H, 6:5 A, 5:1 H).
Tomorrow’s game is the fourth and final meeting between the two teams in the regular season. Of course, the sharks also want points in this game. “It’s the last game before Christmas. Above all, we have to be mentally prepared to be highly concentrated and give our all. Then it could work with another three points under the Christmas tree,” says the coach.
Asiago was founded after initial difficulties in the league. Celebrated three wins from five games since the last game in Innsbruck in early December. Only two points separate the Italians from 10th place and thus a pre-playoff place.
The injured Daniel Jakubitzka will still be out for the Haie, but Dario Winkler will most likely be back in the squad.
