Evasion, Pisa signs regional protocol with Finance and Revenue Agency
The Municipality of Pisa adheres to the memorandum of understanding with the Guardia di Finanza and the Revenue Agency and Anci for the fight against tax evasion. The document was signed in Florence at the headquarters of the Tuscan Revenue Agency, together with the other capital municipalities of the region.
With the new agreement, the collaboration relationship for the assessment of state and local taxes is strengthened, with the aim of identifying the common objectives of the fight against tax evasion and the recovery of sums subtracted from tax obligations.
«It is a useful tool – explains the councilor for security Giovanna Bonanno – to strengthen the collaboration and synergy between the Revenue Agency, the Guardia di Finanza, Anci and the Municipality in the fight against the phenomenon of tax evasion and all aspects connected to it, such as in particular the abusive trade on which we have always paid attention. As confirmed by the numbers of seizures of goods and the sanctions applied, in particular to accommodation businesses. Certainly the protocol, within the sphere of the interventions that we have implemented in recent years, represents a further instrument of action, guaranteeing a greater diffusion of information and promoting the knowledge and the use of further possible methodologies».
The protocol, among its qualifying elements, provides for the procedures for managing reports from the Municipalities with the related revenue for the Administration, specific staff training, the use of IT tools and the exchange of some good practices gained after the experience of recent years. The ambitions and forms in which reports can be made have also been defined, reserving precise requests regarding the protection of privacy and the processing of personal data. The protocol will be valid for three years, with further possibilities for renewal.
