“Majority verification needed, it’s time for investment”
The Secretary of State for Tourism Federico Pedini Amati intervened in today’s council meeting to reiterate how the majority verification hypothesized a few weeks ago has now become necessary: ”It is crucial that the government forces discuss development and investments, not only of DES and renewal of the public debt”. San Marino tourism needs new investments, including private ones, and new infrastructures on a par with other important sectors for the San Marino economy. The Republic of San Marino, also in the tourism sector, needs development and support. Among the projects of this Government for the immediate future there must be the construction of the section of the Treno Bianco Azzurro Città-Borgo Maggiore with the aim of creating a sustainable connection between the car parks that will be built in the Baldasserona area and the Ex-Station, relieving congestion the Historic Center from traffic, creating a new connection in addition to that of the cable car, relaunching the commercial area of the former station and above all creating a tourist attraction without equal in our area. Despite the difficulties imposed by Covid19 and the emergencies caused by international conflicts, the Government has overcome the first phase of its activity: “We are at the halfway point and the time has come to start with investments. No to the government crisis but clarity and commitment in all sectors, not just some”.
