On Monday morning, a tram derailed due to the weather conditions in the Chiemgaustrasse and Schwanseestrasse crossing area.
Winter isn’t just a problem for pedestrians, cyclists and road traffic. There was also a slip in rail traffic in the morning. During a workshop trip, a tram jumped off the tracks near the Giesing train station. Units of the fire brigade were alerted to support the Munich transport company. With muscle power, the winch of a rescue vehicle and other technical equipment, the tram was pulled back onto the track after two hours. The tram is now checked for possible damage in the depot.
Due to the salvage work, there were heavy traffic in the morning rush hour.
