Smoke in the Gabelsbergerstraße triggers the fire brigade
Fire brigade operation in Munich: In the event of a fire in an apartment, smoke poured onto Gabelsbergerstrasse. The single room apartment is uninhabitable.
Munich/Maxvorstadt – A fire in a one-room apartment has covered parts of Gabelsbergerstrasse with thick black smoke. The apartment is uninhabitable for the time being, but nobody was injured in the fire brigade operation on Thursday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m., the fire brigade received several emergency calls and reported smoke from the apartment. The alarm sound of the smoke detector could also be heard.
When the fire brigade arrived at Gabelsbergerstrasse, it was already covered in smoke. The emergency services went into the building to fight the fire and opened the door by force.
Since it was a one-room apartment, the squad quickly searched it for people and could start extinguishing the kitchenette, reports the Munich fire brigade.
To get the thick smoke and heat out of the apartment quickly, the firefighters use a high-performance fan. In just a few minutes, the apartment was completely cleared of smoke and the fire extinguished.
After about an hour and a half, the fire brigade’s mission was over.
The police department is investigating the cause of the fire.
