From Venice to San Marino: the national exhibition inaugurated yesterday
“The national exhibition of the Republic of San Marino at the 59th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia”.
A press release reports it.
“After the great success achieved in the lagoon, over 70,000 visitors out of 800,000 thousand presences who visited the Pavilion of the Republic of San Marino in the seven months of the event, the works of the eight artists – Elisa Cantarelli, Nicoletta Ceccoli, Endless, Michelangelo Galliani, Rosa Mundi, Roberto Paci Dalò, Anne-Cécile Surga, Michele Tombolini – arrive in San Marino, hosted and can be visited free of charge at the Rovereta branch of the Cassa di Risparmio until 12 February 2023.
‘Presence in an international context such as that of Venice allows us to make ourselves known and appreciated as a country both for our qualities and for our ability to open up to others – said the Secretary of State for Education and Culture Andrea Belluzzi after the ribbon cutting. ‘We thought it was important to give the project continuity over time, to trace and interpret a path and allow for progressive growth and the affirmation of higher quality. After the great success of the Postumano Metamorfico project, growing up is a particular ambition, the challenge is now confirmed and being able to amaze once again a particularly demanding environment such as the Venetian one’.
‘After bringing San Marino to the Biennale, we brought the Biennale to San Marino – said Alessandro Bianchini of FR Istituto d’Arte Contemporanea which organized and managed the San Marino Pavilion in collaboration with Cris Contini Contemporary. ‘It’s the first time this has happened. It was a result that, despite the limited time available, we stubbornly achieved thanks also to Secretary Belluzzi who has always supported us. We are happy and satisfied, this is a starting point that represents a great challenge for the future’”.
