WUM Kraków: Local partnership for water in Małopolska – present and future
“Local partnership for water in Małopolska – present and future” – this is the keynote that gathered during the conference that just came out. At the joint invitation of the first vice-voivod of Małopolska Ryszard Pagacz and the director of the Małopolska Agricultural Advisory Center based in Karniowice, Dominik Pasek, from taking over the counting of representatives of administrative units, as well as managing institutions in the field of water resources management.
– Violent floods, local flooding or periodic droughts and water shortages – these are phenomena that recur cyclically in our voivodship. Resource management requires an intelligent, effective service policy for all levels of administration and water users. Only a joint undertaking for an effective economy will bring long-term effects. Today’s conference is a step in building a network of cooperation and partnership – says the first vice-voivode of Lesser Poland, Ryszard Pagacz.
The conference is also a response to the process of establishing local water partners initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The task of one user per poviat and performing tasks related to, among others: the use of water resources, determining the needs of users and business entities or indicating additional investment needs.
As a result, there are plans to establish an opinion and advisory body that would confirm these problems, the effect at the Małopolska Voivode.
