Unfortunate thieves in San Marino: caught due to broken down car
Six people captured, including a woman and two minors. Various burglary tools were found in the luggage

Shot gone up in smoke due to a car breakdown. The gang was unlucky when they were stopped in San Marino on Wednesday night, after breaking into cars and garages of homes.
The group’s vehicle broke down in Borgo Maggiore, just outside the city center and the would-be thieves had to surrender, after a Gendarmerie patrol, which noticed the stationary car, proceeded to check it. Various burglary tools were found in the luggage as well as a nail gun.
During the search, the officers noticed that other people were sneaking away. Immediately launched in pursuit, in collaboration with the civilian police, they managed to block six people, 5 men and a girl. Among them also two minors. The gang allegedly carried out some thefts between Borgo Maggiore and il Ventoso.
Those arrested were taken to the Borgo Maggiore Brigade, where they were subjected to checks and interrogations. The two minors and the woman were reported on the loose, while the remaining perpetrators of the thefts, i.e. a Macedonian, a Peruvian and an Italian, are likely to be arrested in prison.
