“Stop me, friend”, a project to combat accidents caused by alcohol and drugs
The project”Stop me Friend” is financed by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for almost 290 thousand euros, led by the Municipality of Rimini – seventh in the ranking on the ministerial tender – lasting one year. In the field, initiatives to raise awareness, implementing controls together, looking above all at the youngest, with interventions on the net, which – is theSecurity Advisor Jury Magrini to highlight it – to involve a plurality of subjects. Ausl Romagna for prevention: with the operators of the Pathological Addiction Service of Rimini in the field, from schools to driving schools and places of entertainment. Also in the field University of Rimini, with the Department of Statistics of UNIBO which will produce a accident report linked to driving with alcohol and drugs, from data analysis to the perception of the phenomenon in citizens.
Of course the Local policein the intensification of roadside checks: a new vehicle was purchased to be used as a mobile office, new latest generation breathalyzers also entrusted to partner Municipalities (Bellaria-Igea Marina, Cattolica, Riccione, Union Valmarecchia) and 4 evenings with the mobile laboratory, a camper with personnel on board for immediate analysis, even on blood, to detect drugs. And of course a communication campaign – a logo created by the students of the Serpieri High School – with commercials and 20 miniclips – on TV, radio, social networks, played right on the friend rolein preventing driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
