Continente reinforces its presence in Lisbon with two new stores
Av. 5 de Outubro and Metro Colombo are the two new locations of the Continente Bom Dia stores, which open today in Lisbon, creating 32 new jobs in the region. The store on Av. 5 de Outubro is open daily from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm, and Colombo Metro is open every day from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
These two openings follow the policy of expanding MC’s proximity stores, in urban locations and neighbourhoods, in a format that is closer and more convenient for customers and reinforces the banner’s commitment to the municipality of Lisbon, which now has 28 stores of the brand. . By the end of the year, Continente will open 6 more stores.
The inauguration of the spaces is marked with a 10% discount campaign on the Continente Card, throughout the store, between the 14th and 18th of December, which accumulates with the promotions in force.
Sustainability
In the two new stores, consumers can use reusable bags when buying fruit, vegetables or bakery or reusable boxes for cold cuts and take away. Also noteworthy are the fresh and seasonal products that are always available, from fruits and vegetables, to the bakery, butcher and fish market that the store offers, with national products and the possibility for customers to use the advantages of the Continente Card.
In terms of environmental sustainability, the stores are equipped with low-consumption lamps, 100% LED, for lighting and equipment to control and reduce excessive water consumption and containers where customers can deposit used cooking oil, used batteries and cork wheels, which will later be taken for recycling.
There are currently more than 150 Continente Bom Dia stores in Portugal, where around 7000 people work.
