Ukraine pays for the restoration of infrastructure — the High Castle
This happened during the “Energy Ramstein” – an international meeting in Paris regarding the preservation of Ukrainian infrastructure.
Therefore, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is asking partners to help purchase 2 billion cubic meters of gas and 50 million economical LED lamps to provide electricity, as well as to direct special missions to purchase objects of critical energy infrastructure of Ukraine.
“Our main goal is to protect Zaporizhzhya NPP. We are negotiating with IAEA director Rafael Grossi. The following weeks will be decisive in this matter. The task is very clear – to demilitarize the NPP area. We have already managed to achieve the withdrawal of heavy and light weapons. Now we are discussing practical points,” French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized.
Together with the IAEA, France will also send equipment to ensure the operation of the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant. Other states also announced aid to Ukraine during the severe winter. Spain will provide more than one and a half units of equipment for repairing electrical networks and generators. The Czech Republic — 8.5 million euros for heating schools and hospitals, as well as equipping “points of invincibility.” Germany promises generators and transformers. In total, Berlin will allocate 50 million euros to Ukraine.
“The Swedish government will allocate an additional 55 million euros for the reconstruction of Ukraine. We must guarantee long-term support to Ukraine. Winter has come, the war continues. We should do everything possible to improve the living conditions of Ukrainians and help fight against the Russian invaders,” Swedish Development Minister Johan Forssel emphasized.
“I hope we will give Ukraine a clear signal of support and cover its urgent needs during the winter. Because the terror of Ukraine, which includes Russia and Russia, missile strikes and drone attacks on civilian infrastructure, is an inhumane war crime. We must support Ukraine in all possible ways,” said the head of the Danish Foreign Ministry, Jeppe Kofod.
According to the results of the conference in Paris, almost a billion euros were collected for Ukraine. Almost half of them are directed to the needs of the energy sector. The rest should be divided between the costs of water supply, food, health care and transport.
125 million euros from the total amount will be provided by France, the host of the event. This is one of the largest humanitarian contributions in the country’s history.
