San Marino. “211 Culture. A game” – opens the Football Association gallery at the FIFA Museum
FIFA announces the opening of the gallery “211 Cultures. A game.” at the FIFA Museum in Zurich: the exhibition, containing the artefacts made available by all the affiliated federations, will be active until August 2023.
Even the San Marino Football Federation has contributed to enriching the grandiose exhibition of works and artifacts related to football, but also to the culture of its country. In doing so, the FSGC made the used dogwood available to the FIFA Museum in Zurich in May 2018, on the occasion of the official presentation of the uniforms of the San Marino national team for the following two-year international period. An object strongly linked to San Marino tradition, culture and territory, which immediately recalls the medieval legacy that can be breathed in Cava dei Balestrie and admired, month after month, in the fellow citizens who still keep San Marino traditions alive, resulting in excellence also on the Italian territory . For San Marino football, the special dogwood – created in collaboration with the San Marino Crossbowmen Federation – has the profound meaning of the return to the original colors of the flag of one’s own nation, worn like a second skin by the players of the San Marino national teams on fields throughout Europe and – in certain circumstances – even outside the Old Continent.
