On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, around twenty employees from several Teenage houses of Normandy, gathered within a collective, were grouped in front of the headquarters of theRegional Health Agency (ARS) to Caen (Calvados), despite the cold and snow. They demanded a salary increase of 238 €, as part of the Ségur de la santé. “The situation is very unequal because many professionals in the social and medico-social sector have provided this revaluation”… but not all, deplores the collective.
Different statutes
The explanation for these differences in treatment can be found in the status differences of these establishments that smoke in charge of teenagers in difficulty. Some depend on public hospitals, others on private foundations, still others are managed by associations. In Caen, the Maison des ados, located on Place de la Mare, is “jointly supported” by the ACSEA and PASSADO14 associations, in partnership with the EPSM (ex-Bon Sauveur). And it is the ARS which finances.
At a time when the mental health of young people is at the heart of concerns, we are seeing an increase in requests for support around adolescent malaise. Not valuing our action leads to unequal treatment, a loss of attractiveness, a significant drop in purchasing power for employees.
Employees point to “a lack of consideration” which “necessarily leads to discomfort”, and could “cause demobilization, disinvestment, or even departures”.
A delegation received on Wednesday
The collective has already taken many steps with the management of the establishments in Normandy, and contacted the ARS by mail. “To this day, it remains unanswered. »
A delegation of staff representatives was however able to be received by the ARS on Wednesday 14 December. They were able to present their arguments, hoping for a positive outcome.
