San Marino. Energy policies, Secretary Lonfernini met in Brussels with the Head of Cabinet of Commissioner for Energy Policies Kadri Simson
The meeting, on the sidelines of the negotiation of association with the European Union, currently underway
There Secretary of State for Employment reports that “Alongside the meetings on the negotiation of association with the European Union – in which he took part convened by his colleague Luca Beccari to deal with the matter ‘Free movement of workers’ – the Secretary of State for Labour Teodoro Lonfernini, accompanied by the Permanent Ambassador in Brussels Antonella Benedettini met Stefano GrassiHead of Cabinet of Commissioner for Energy Policy Kadri Simson.
‘This is a first contact with the authorities of the European Union -, Lonfernini reported. ‘During the meeting we discussed issues of common interest and topical issues such as energy costs, the increasingly insistent commitments from the point of view of guarantees for energy supply, the future vision of greater energy autonomy also of the Republic of San Marino within a European geographic area that we are increasingly seeking in terms of association.’
Yesterday’s meeting in Brussels took place following the bilateral meeting held a few days ago in Rome with the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security Gilberto Pichetto Fratin. This cycle of appointments is part of the fundamental relational activity because the Republic of San Marino remains connected with the main territorial areas of reference for energy approval”.
