Cissé rescues a point in Andorra
The pepinero team had to deal with a very controversial disallowed goal but, even so, they scored a draw.
Leganés continues its unbeaten streak. This time they salvaged a point against a rival as difficult as Andorra in a match that could have been perfectly won had it not been for a controversial referee’s decision. Much was said about the possession game of the Andorran team, but the Lega was able to discuss their dominance with the ball in many phases of the match. Cissé equalized in the final minutes to offset Iván Gil’s great goal.
The start of the game was slow. With a Leganés suffocated with the pressure of Andorra and a local team that did not know how to overcome the rival defense either. After half an hour into the game, Eder Sarabia’s team began to generate more chances but the goal did not come. Lega was able to dispute possession of the team that most wants the ball in the category, but the first part ended up being too rough.
However, the second half looked good from the start. Dani Raba finished off a ball at the far post to score the first of the game but VAR had the last word. The referee went to the screen to watch a fortuitous stomp by Cissé at the start of the play and annulled the goal in an inexplicable way, for many. This goal was canceled because the game began to open up more despite the fact that the chances came with a dropper.
In the end, in the middle of equality, Iván Gil scored a great goal with a powerful long shot that opened up its trajectory until ending up at the bottom of the red net. Impossible to stop for Risk. It came from a throw-in in which Cissé got confused. However, the Guinean solved it very soon. Before 80, Undabarrena put a low cross into the area and the young youth squad finished off with a spur to frame a work of art that ended in a goal. Naim had the last chance of the match in the last moments, but he ran into Ratti, who won the game at the near post.
