Change of timetable: better cycles and times
Traffic
The European timetable change for public transport will take place on Sunday, including in Salzburg. There are new timetables for public transport in the state.
A new railway line starts in the Ennspongau region: the R9 is connected to Schladming (Styria) and Bischofshofen (Pongau) with the new timetable. In addition, the night S-Bahn started in the state.
In Wals-Siezenheim (Flachgau), the public connection is being significantly expanded with new lines. The new line 181 will run every half hour between Salzburg main station and the national border via Grünau.
Better clocks, no tariff increase for 2023
In the Pinzgau, gaps in the regional buses are being closed and the timetables are being consolidated. For example in the region of Zell am See – Kaprun – Kitzsteinhorn, but also in Zell am See – Mittersill – Krimml. Additional connections are created between Lend and Dienten. In Pongau, the frequency of the lines from Monday to Friday will also be increased and hourly services will be introduced in sections.
With the new timetable, a lot is happening in the Murtal with additional trains. These now also run at weekends every 2 hours between Unzmarkt (Styria) and Tamsweg (Lungau) or Murau (Styria) and Tamsweg. There is also a clock extension for the Wolfgangsee corridor: Ebenau (Flachgau) can be reached every half hour. Incidentally, the new timetable does not entail any price increases for the coming year.
