“It covers things like the service of honorary orders, the protocol service, documentation service, preparation of legal diplomas”, explained Fernando Frutuoso de Melo, in statements to the press, for whom the two institutions will also be able to exchange experiences and knowledge, enrich themselves and “work better”.
He also said that it is a way to bring the two Presidencies closer together, in this which is the second protocol signed between the two institutions, after another signed three years ago, but “not much could be done” because of the covid pandemic -19.
Cape Verdean President José Maria Neves added that the agreement will allow two institutions to develop actions in the areas of training and organization of advisory services.
“It is a cooperation agreement that will involve the staff of the two presidencies, Portuguese and Cape Verdean”, stressed Neves, also considering that the visit of Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
