Portugal will maintain its ″intransigent position″ on human rights at an international level

This position was taken by António Costa in a message published on his official account on the social network Twitter, in which he marked the International Day of Human Rights.
In this message, António Costa stressed that “the Universal Declaration of Human Rights remains one of the greatest symbols” of “the common conscience as Humanity and its fulfillment must be a goal, more than an aspiration”.
“The fight for Human Rights – everyone, without exception and for all and everyone without – is a guiding cause for Portugal. We will maintain an intransigent position in bilateral and multilateral frameworks on all situations that inspire concern”, reads the message.
