The motorists behind the wheel they have a perception of himself and of his own behaviors decidedly forgiving and finger pointing versus the others. From direct observations on the road it emerges, in fact, that 54.1% of drivers do not use the warning indicators for changing lanes when overtaking. A similar percentage (54%) does not use them to report returning after overtaking. The data are no longer comforting for other types of maneuver: 35.4% of motorists do not indicate that they are entering the road from the access ramp, while 19.5% do not indicate that they are exiting. Failure to comply with the rules of the highway code also as regards the use of restraint devices for children: 41.7% do not use them on the front side of the car, given that it worsens if referred to the rear seat where the percentage of those who do not use them rises to 48.4%. Finally, 10.3% of drivers misuse their cell phone and 11.4% do not wear a seat belt, a figure that increases dramatically for passengers in the back seat (75.7%).
