Electricity from the photovoltaic system
The company, based in Eugendorf, will soon be drawing electricity from its own photovoltaic system at the locations in Traun – Upper Austria – and Stans in Tyrol. The Kuhn company has also opted for the contracting model of Salzburg AG for these locations. From planning to installation and subsequent operational management including monitoring of the system, Salzburg AG takes on the complete processing of all PV agendas. After the end of the contract period, the PV system becomes the property of the company. This model is of particular interest to industrial companies that consume most of their electricity themselves. “We at Kuhn attach great importance to climate and environmental protection. It was therefore immediately clear to us that we wanted to gradually equip all of our locations with PV systems. We started in 2020 with our headquarters in Eugendorf and I am pleased to be able to say that all of our Austrian locations will already be using PV power in 2023,” says Managing Director Stefan Kuhn, explaining his company’s strategy.
German locations are equipped
The German locations of the Eugendorf-based company Kuhn in Hohenlinde and bison was equipped by Salzburg AG with PV modules in 2022. “Salzburg AG is also pleased about the cooperation with the Company Kuehn, because the company plays a real pioneering role when it comes to climate and environmental protection. It is particularly important to us to support such Salzburg companies in matters of climate change,” says Salzburg AG chairman Leonard Schitter.
