San Marino: autumn music festival. A weekend entirely dedicated to Bologna
Two themed appointments dedicated to Baroque musical Bologna for the Autumn Music Review. Friday 18 November, at 21 in the Conference Room Carisp – Palazzo SUMS, for “Travel Counterpoints” Maestro Augusto Ciavatta will lead the public on an imaginary audio-video guided walk through the streets of Bologna between the late 16th and early 18th centuries, touching cultural centres, places and musicians essential for the development of Italian and therefore international Baroque instrumental music: the Musical Chapel of San Petronio, the Philharmonic Academy, Corelli, Torelli, Perti. “Travel counterpoints” is produced in collaboration with RTV Radio San Marino Classic. The appointments with the XXIV Autumn Musical Review will follow one another on Sunday 20 November, at 4.30 pm, again in the Carisp Conference Room – Palazzo SUMS, with a concert by Fabrizio Longo (baroque violin) and Domenico Cerasani (theorbo and Spanish guitar) . The two musicians expert in performance practice of this era will present a beautiful and refined program, with music by Torelli, Corelli, Berardi. A program to rediscover the value of one of the most important Italian instrumental schools.
