Almost 20% of houses in Portugal take less than a day to rent – Companies
Price has an impact on the speed at which houses “disappear”, with the report detailing that 28% of houses rented in less than 24 hours cost less than 750 euros per month. Looking at the facade of houses between 750 and 1,000 euros, a percentage drops to 22%, and between 1,000 and 1,500 euros to 11%.
In the universe of “more affordable rentals”, Faro concentrates the highest percentage of houses rented in less than a day (50%), followed by Lisbon (47%) and Braga (45%).
By city, it is in Braga where, in total rent, there is the highest increase in houses rented in less than one day: 24%. “Lisbon follows (18%), Coimbra (17%), Setúbal (17%) and Aveiro (17%). In Porto, 13% of the houses were rented in less than a day and, in Faro, 12% were less than 24 hours on the market”, adds the company in a statement sent to the newsrooms.
The percentage of “express leases” will tolerate as price ranges rise, with Lisbon leading in houses with prices between 750 and 1,000 euros: 26% of houses between that value were rented in less than a day in the Portuguese capital. “Braga follows, with 21%, Porto, 20%, Setúbal, 18%, Aveiro, 17%, Faro and Coimbra, both with 12%”, details Idealista.
